International Ballet Stars Presents: Swan Lake Auditions at Volga Dance Academy
We’re excited to announce a special opportunity for young dancers (5+, dance experience required) in Atlanta!
International Ballet Stars will hold auditions for its upcoming production of Swan Lake at Volga Dance Academy on August 30 at 11:00 AM. The Atlanta audition is part of the We Dance Program, an educational and performance initiative integrated into the International Ballet Stars North American Tour.
Founded in 2019 by Artem Yachmennikov and Ekaterina Yachmennikova, the We Dance Program gives young dancers the opportunity to perform alongside an international touring ballet company and experience the professional rehearsal and production process firsthand. The program now engages more than 1,500 students annually, works with over 50 partner studios across the U.S. and Canada, and has presented more than 85 performances alongside professional dancers representing 16 countries.
We are proud that Volga Dance Academy is an official partner studio of the We Dance Program in Atlanta. As part of this partnership, our academy will host the Swan Lake auditions and help connect local dancers with a unique professional performance opportunity. International Ballet Stars officially lists the August 30 Swan Lake audition in Atlanta at Volga Dance Academy as part of its upcoming program schedule.
Participants in the We Dance Program gain experience performing in professional theaters, working within a structured rehearsal and production process, and being introduced to international ballet standards. The program is designed to create a bridge between local dance communities and the professional ballet world while inspiring the next generation of dancers.
The selected dancers will have the opportunity to perform in Swan Lake on March 11, 2027. To prepare for the production, dancers who successfully pass the audition will take part in weekly rehearsals at Volga Dance Academy. These sessions will focus on choreography, stage preparation, and developing the confidence and performance skills needed for the final production.
For the very young (Little Swans) weekly rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM and Sundays at 9:30 AM (from October 2026 to March 2027).
For older dancers, rehearsal times will be scheduled separately and announced later based on age and level of preparation.
